Laura Robertson is a Bristol based artist known for her quirky prints and paintings. Her work is figurative with a touch of humour. Laura is also the illustrator of the “Gordon the Goblin” children’s books.

Laura had her self-portrait “Laura in January” selected for exhibition as a part of the BP Portrait Award 2013, which exhibited nationally at the National Portrait Gallery in London, Aberdeen and Wolverhampton.

Laura is an accomplished artist, illustrator and sculptor. She has the following qualifications:
National Diploma in Graphic Design (Durham)
HND Illustration (Cambridge)
BA Hons Visual Communication with Fine Art (London)
NVQ Sculpture (Bristol)
Laura was selected for exhibition in the 2013 BP Portrait Award in the National Portrait Gallery

Here’s how she describes herself:

I like observing and drawing people, and am fascinated by interesting characters. All my work has a hint of humour to it. All the characters I paint are from my imagination, but inspired by those I see around me. I have been painting pictures all my life, but in recent years I have become a busy mum of 3. Now I am getting back to painting and enjoying it very much. This is helped by the kids being in school.
