The North Bristol Art Trail has been running for 19 years and we’ve been part of it for 7 of those. Due to November’s lockdown the trail will have to be held online. However, regulations allow us to offer a click and collect service so the artists who planned to show their work at Room 212 will be at the shop during the weekend to offer this service and we will have hold live facebook event
In the build up to the trail we will be featuring work by artists on the trail. If you see anything you like then do get in touch by email or phone.
Here are the 3 artists featured over the trail weekend
Jenny Urquhart will be hanging her latest paintings of Leigh Woods, Bristol and beyond in our Gallery in the back. Jenny will be there in person during the trail weekend so you’ll be able to talk to her about her work. We always have a wide selection of her prints and cards this is a great opportunity to see the originals and meet the artist herself.
Katie Johnston will be setting up a gazebo outside to show her gorgeous enamel jewellery. Katie’s work is our most popular range of jewellery and she’s always developing new ideas and techniques. Her jewellery just keeps getting more and more beautiful so come along to see what’s she come up with for the trail
Sarah Thorp owns Room 212 so her creativity usually goes into the imaginative shop displays. However, in her down time Sarah likes to bring pre loved objects to life with decoupage. Using interesting papers and cast off objects she brings beauty and colour to vases, chairs and more.
Maita Robinson creates one off cards and small art works with low tech hand printing techniques, cutting and collating recycled materials and using beautiful papers to create quirky, unique, and often surreal images. Her cards have become renowned in the Gloucester Road area and sell well at Room 212 throughout the year. Maita will not be appearing at Room 212 during the trail but she will be expanding her range during the trail. You can find her online during the trail.
