Orders

When making an order we require some personal data, such as your name and delivery address. This is needed to fulfill the order. Payment details are also requested, these are processed by Worldpay and not retained by Room 212, please see Worldpay’s privacy policy.

Contact Forms

Information that you provide filling in forms on our website may be collected and retained for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes unless permission is specifically given.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our newsletters, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For administration purposes, data relating to cancelled or inactive orders is kept for 1 year, whilst completed orders are retained for future reference.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have made an order, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
