Ilze is a graphic designer, originally from South Africa but firmly based in Bristol.  She designs and puts together all her homewares and is heavily influenced by the iconic images of our city as well as the colourful flora and fauna of her birthplace. In fact her lampshades with Bristol designs are one of the most popular pieces in our gallery

Ilze is very particular about sourcing the best quality fabrics, paper and printers, and all her designs and products are made in Britain, which reduces environmental impact and stimulates local economy.

The aim of Ilze’s work is to offer something a bit different to the norm. Eclectic pieces without borders, and if it generates a smile, that makes her happier than anything else.

Ilze’s colourful design of tea and cakes was selected as one of the Gloucester Road Art Banners and can be seen at the upper part of Gloucester Road. Her Bristol hot air balloon design is featured in the Room 212 calendar for August
