Example prices
The pricing of room212 is meant to cover both exhibition style use, and use
as a shop:
-
You use room212 for a week in July, you sell £200 worth of
sculptures.
You pay the highest of (5% of £200 = £10) and
(the flat rate, £15): £15.
-
You use room212 the week before Valentines day, you sell £700 worth
of jewelry.
You pay the highest of (5% of £700 = £35) and
(the flat rate, £30): £35.
- You use room212 two weeks before Christmas with 2 friends. You sell
£900 worth of photographs, one friend sells £500 worth of
sketches, your other friend gets commissioned to make a £200 painting.
You pay
the highest of (5% of £900 + 500 + 200 = 5% of £1600 =
£80) and (the flat rate, 2 weeks at £30 = £60):
£80. How you and your friends split this up is between you and your friends.
Moral of the story: if you don't sell anything and just use it as an
exhibition space, you just pay the minimum rate. If you sell a lot, you
will pay 5%.
Be sensible about commissions. If they are due to room212, you owe me 5%,
if they were going to ask you anyway, you don't. If you get a commission
2 months afterwards that is due to room212, you pay 5%.
