From a traditional sewing background, two years ago I began a very exciting journey exploring textiles and stitch.

My childhood experiences and memories have had a great influence on my work. Mum passed onto me dressmaking and embroidery skills while Dad has inspired me with his ability to recite poetry and sayings.

Areas of interest I have been exploring include dress, florals, lace, whitework, line and tone through black stitch work and incorporating text.

To me my work reflects my childhood, evoking a sense of traditional, the peaceful, spacious countryside and an abundance of flowers.
