A bit about me...

I am a self-taught artist and photographer based in Bristol. I enjoy exploring a wide range of subject matter in both my photography and paintings, with the simple objective of capturing beautiful moments.

A bit about my paintings...

I have been painting since 2004, primarily working in acrylic on canvas. My paintings are representational with a contemporary edge. I aim to create solitary, evocative images, accentuating simplicity and capturing a sense of space with the hope of providing an opportunity for observers to 'get lost in the painting', to reflect on their personal response to the artwork and perhaps momentarily shut out the demands of everyday life.

A bit about my photography...

Having previously studied black and white analogue photography, concentrating on dark room techniques, I now primarily work with digital cameras. I have travelled widely; drawing inspiration from incidental beauty I have stumbled across at home in the UK and abroad. The beauty and vibrancy all around us never ceases to amaze me and I am passionate about capturing true beauty and so avoid digitally enhancing images.
