I initially trained at the RWA foundation course in Clifton Bristol in the mid 1990's; concentrating on fine art and printing. I then did a graphic design degree at the UWE Bower Ashton art college in Bristol, where I continued my printing and painting alongside graphic work. After leaving college I did several office jobs before becoming the in house artist for the MM Group(marketing)in Bristol. Where I painted large scale murals for them as well as individual paintings and graphic work.
After three years with them I left and concentrated on writing music and writing in general. I still continued to paint sporadically but in the last year or so I have returned to painting in a much more focused and productive way. I also continue to write music and songs and am currently working on a screenplay.
My paintings are mainly abstract and explore ideas I have about time and space and our perceptions of reality. I also do some figurative work which have a slightly surreal edge to them, again exploring concepts of reality and perception.
