I use oil and acrylic paint to create fantasy style paintings. Often people say that they look surreal although I would call myself a symbolist as each character, creature and object is thoughtfully placed. I communicate through this visual languge by using animals, humans, hybrids and particular atmospheres to effect the viewer deeply. This is what makes the images powerful.

I have a fascination with other worlds, other dimensions and I like writing my own stories which gives the art an illustrative fairy tale quality. Although this may seem disconnected from reality, the themes of each image deeply mock political, social and physical issues.

This way the images are oddly familiar and deeply memorable.
