Enamel Icons

My work presented here has been created over a period of four years, using techniques of enamelling, which involves melting powdered glass onto copper sheet at a very high temperature.

The subject matter could be described as contemporary religious iconography, taking as its influences various notions of religious expression in Britain, from the earliest Neolithic rock art and the conception of angels over the centuries, to church interiors and the cult of saints. These works could be appraised of as non - denominational icons for a recusant society.
