Susanna Clasby

Susanna is a freelance Illustrator working on commissions as well as my own projects. She creates colourful, textural work combining traditional and digital techniques. When she’s not illustrating she is creating digital embroideries with students at UWE. She is beginning to mix my illustration and embroidery practices and hope to produce some interesting hybrids!

Before re-training to be an Illustrator (at Bristol School of Art and UWE BA Hons Illustration) she studied history at Balliol College, Oxford University and then worked for 12 years in Design Management and Marketing roles both agency and client side, in London and Bristol.

Susanna lives just up the road from Room 212 and is delighted to be involved with such great people, in such a wonderful place. She is also a member of the So What collective, who exhibit locally at least once a year.
